LTC Pharmacist Compensation

• The pay for this position is $64.27 per hour
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

LTC Pharmacist Highlights

• This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
• The required availability for this position is Monday–Friday, 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM ET

LTC Pharmacist Responsibilities

• Accept and dispense prescription medications
• Monitor patient medication compliance and over-usage patterns
• Ensure pharmacy operations comply with legal and regulatory standards
• Verify prescribed medications are appropriate and safe for patients
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records and pharmacy files
• Counsel patients on medication use, dosage, storage, side effects, and drug interactions
• Provide consultation on prescription and non-prescription medications
• Provide clinical services such as smoking cessation support, blood pressure monitoring, and cholesterol management
• Educate patients on proper handling of medical devices such as blood pressure monitors and glucose meters
• Compound medications for internal and external use
• Prepare sterile solutions following proper procedures
• Supervise pharmacy staff including pharmacy technicians and clerks (team supported by 3 pharmacy technicians)
• Maintain appropriate inventory of pharmaceutical and medical supplies
• Identify patient drug-related problems and communicate with physicians and other healthcare practitioners
• Work in conjunction with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and pharmacy interns

LTC Pharmacist Requirements

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
• Active Indiana Pharmacist (RPh) license
• Licensed by the State Board of Pharmacy
• Strong clinical knowledge and patient counseling skills
• High School Diploma or GED
• Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days

LTC Pharmacist Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Parata automation systems
• Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities
• Long-term care at home pharmacy experience
