Job description:
The Licensed Vocational Nurse at a state-supported living center performs advanced vocational nursing work. The role involves providing care, treatment, and general welfare for individuals with intellectual disabilities, complex medical, mental health, and/or behavioral health issues. This position includes medication administration, patient education, and detailed documentation.
LVN Schedule & location:
- Schedule: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM, alternating shifts to meet staffing needs
- Days: Sunday – Saturday
- Location: Denton, TX 76210, United States
LVN Salary/Wage:
$28.00 - $35.00 per hour, based on experience.
LVN Duties:
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Provide medication education to patients
- Complete medication administration and treatment documentation
- Perform computer data entry, with training provided
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards
LVN Required Qualification:
- Valid LVN license
- Must comply with immunization requirements
- Must pass required drug test and fingerprinting
- Must complete all required facility and training
LVN Physical Requirements:
- Ability to manage physical tasks such as medication administration and patient care
- Must be able to stand, walk, and lift as needed to provide care
- Ability to work in a healthcare setting that may involve behavioral health and medical situations
LVN Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of an accredited LVN program and licensure
