Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) – Clinic Nurse (Full-Time Hours, Possible Float)
Location: Matthews, NC 28105
Schedule: 32–40 hours/week during clinic hours; includes every other weekend (some holidays); may float to nearby locations
Pay: $37.17/hr
Summary
Hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for an outpatient clinic role with full-time hours and a consistent schedule cycle. This clinic LPN/LVN position supports walk-in care workflows—triage, patient assessments, medication administration, vaccines, phlebotomy, and point-of-care testing—while using EMR documentation (Epic preferred). Responsibilities
- Complete patient intake, assessments, and vital sign monitoring; document findings in the EMR
- Administer medications and treatments per clinical protocols
- Support immunizations, phlebotomy, and point-of-care testing (POCT)
- Review patient history, allergies, medications, and care needs; update EHR/EMR accurately
- Educate patients on care plans, medications, self-care, and follow-up recommendations
- Maintain clinic readiness: stocking, cleanliness, safety-sensitive procedures, and infection control
- Communicate effectively with providers, clinical staff, and patients to ensure smooth patient flow
- Float to nearby clinic locations as needed to support operational coverage
Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted LPN/LVN license in the state where you will work (North Carolina)
- 1+ year experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care, or Emergency Room (required)
- Experience with phlebotomy, vaccine administration, and point-of-care testing (required)
- EMR/EHR proficiency required; Epic preferred
- Verifiable High School Diploma or GED required
- Current BLS/CPR required (must meet minimum expiration criteria at start)
- Strong patient-facing communication skills; comfortable working some weekends/holidays and floating as needed
