Laboratory Production Specialist | Details and Compensation:
- Location: Sparks Glencoe, MD 21152 – 100% on-site
- Payrate: $22.05/hr
- Required Availability: Monday - Thursday 7:00 PM - 5:00 AM (overnights)
Laboratory Production Specialist | Summary and Highlights:
The Laboratory Production Specialist will support the manufacturing and assembly of clinical and commercial products in a GMP-regulated environment. This role involves working with raw materials, operating production equipment, performing in-process testing, and maintaining safety standards.
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Laboratory Production Specialist | Responsibilities:
- Operate production equipment and follow batch protocols
- Measure and verify raw materials to ensure accurate batching
- Conduct in-process testing to meet quality specifications
- Validate equipment and processes related to filtration, cleaning, and sterilization
- Safely dispose of waste chemicals, solvents, and acids
- Prepare chemical solutions and mixtures according to specifications
- Support onboarding and training for new team members
- Assist supervisors and contribute to process improvement initiatives
- Adhere to GMP and internal safety/housekeeping procedures
- Be available for overtime as needed
Laboratory Production Specialist | Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma with technical certification and 3+ years lab experience | OR Associate’s degree in a scientific discipline and 2+ years lab experience | OR Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline and 1+ years lab experience
- Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Detail-oriented with strong time management
- Able to work independently
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, basic arithmetic)
