Lead Assembler, Instrument Compensation
- $30-40.00/hour (pay rate determined at time of offer)
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment.
- 401(k) with company match is available after 1 year of service on eligibility dates.
- Contract assignment with potential to be extended (and possible long-term opportunity based on attendance, performance, and business needs).
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

In this role, you’ll lead and support a small assembly team while building, testing, and documenting medical device products in a regulated lab/manufacturing environment.
Lead Assembler, Instrument Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day leadership and guidance to assembly personnel with a focus on safety, quality, and accountability.
- Train/mentor assemblers and ensure work is completed per established procedures and best practices.
- Partner with engineering to coordinate daily/weekly build priorities, assignments, and issue resolution.
- Coordinate materials/components/tooling availability and communicate build delays, shortages, and quality concerns.
- Set up, operate, adjust, maintain, clean, and troubleshoot manufacturing/prototype equipment.
- Perform visual/functional inspections to confirm products meet specifications and quality requirements.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation (training records, build documentation, and quality records).
- Support process improvements and help keep the work area clean, organized, and inspection-ready.
- Perform other duties as assigned and follow all safety/environmental/quality policies.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality/documentation
- Ability to stand/walk/bend/reach and perform repetitive motions for extended periods
- Ability to lift 25–50 lbs occasionally and 10–20 lbs frequently
- Comfortable working around mechanical equipment, electrical systems, and chemicals/solvents while using required PPE
- Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
- 5+ years in a manufacturing environment
- Experience operating/troubleshooting production or prototype equipment
- Experience providing team leadership, training, or work coordination (even without direct supervisory authority)
- Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (medical devices strongly preferred)
- Continuous improvement / process improvement experience
