This position provides counseling and support to individuals struggling with primary substance abuse disorder and dual diagnosis. The counselor will work with patients throughout their treatment journey, from intake to discharge, and will collaborate with the treatment team to ensure a comprehensive recovery plan.
LCSW Drug & Alcohol Counselor Compensation
- The pay for this position is $34.50 to $38/hour per hour

- This position is a direct hire role
- The required availability for this position is Monday - Friday, 7AM to 3:30PM with occasional Saturdays from 7:30AM to 10:30AM
Patient Care:
- Complete intake, admission, discharge, and transfer paperwork.
- Document patient progress through counseling and group interactions.
- Conduct individual, group, and family counseling sessions.
- Educate patients on all aspects of treatment, related health issues, and steps to recovery.
- Assist in monitoring patient activities on center premises.
- Report patient abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
- Report patient grievances.
- Develop psychosocial assessments and individualized treatment plans.
- Identify and address clinical and case management needs.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards.
- Maintain proper licensure and certifications.
- Participate in preparation for surveys and inspections.
- Attend staff meetings.
- Comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Act in the best interests of the program and company.
- Participate in community relations activities.
- Work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by leadership.
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and be dependable and reliable
- Organized and resourceful self-starter; strong ability to work in a team.
- Interest in and motivated to work closely with community resources on patient behalf.
- Strong interpersonal skills and communication abilities due to nature of liaison work on interdisciplinary team.

- Bachelor degree in social work
- Master degree in social work
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker
- Experience in substance abuse field
- High School Diploma or GED
- Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
