Licensed Independent Social Worker (LiSW) Compensation

• Pay: Between $35 and $42 per hour
• Full-time position with the potential for temp-to-hire based on performance, attendance, and business needs.

Licensed Independent Social Worker (LiSW) Highlights

• LiSW or LPCC credential required, with appropriate documentation.
• As a member of an interdisciplinary mental health treatment team, responsible for managing mental health interventions for a caseload of mentally ill criminal offenders.
• Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Licensed Independent Social Worker (LiSW) Responsibilities

• Mental Health Screening & Assessments: Conduct detailed mental health screenings, including risk and suicide watch assessments, in consultation with Independently Licensed Mental Health Professionals when applicable.
• Clinical Interventions: Provide individual and group clinical interventions as part of the mental health treatment plan using clinical intervention strategies.
• Psychosocial Group Interventions: Lead psychosocial group interventions as prescribed on the mental health treatment plan.
• Mental Health Liaison Services: Monitor offenders' progress on mental health treatment goals and provide liaison services.
• Assessment & Treatment Planning: Complete psychosocial needs and treatment assessments, contributing to interdisciplinary treatment planning.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely electronic documentation of all inmate contacts, progress notes, discharge plans, and miscellaneous forms and reports.
• Consultation & Collaboration: Consult with other institutional staff on offenders' mental health progress and service needs, and initiate contact with families and community agencies.
• Community Referrals: Make appropriate referrals to community resources based on treatment team recommendations.
• Professional Development: Attend in-service training sessions and workshops for ongoing professional growth.

Licensed Independent Social Worker (LiSW) Requirements

• LiSW (Licensed Independent Social Worker) or LPCC (Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor) with the appropriate documentation for Ohio.
• Strong knowledge of mental health treatment plans, risk assessments, and psychosocial interventions.
• Experience working with mentally ill criminal offenders in a correctional or similar institutional setting is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary mental health treatment team.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
• Ability to make sound clinical decisions based on scope of practice and in consultation with independently licensed professionals.

Licensed Independent Social Worker (LiSW) Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in a correctional or forensic mental health setting.
• Strong crisis management skills and the ability to handle challenging situations.
