LPN Compensation
- The pay for this position is $24.00/hr
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment.
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates.
LPN Highlights
- Hours worked are 10am-10pm 3 days a week, weekend availability.
LPN Responsibilities
- Administers nursing care within scope of practice, including tasks such as applying sterile dressings, inserting catheters, performing wound care, and administering oxygen and enemas.
- Assists in dialysis treatments, operates hemodialysis equipment, and monitors patients during procedures.
- Administers controlled substances (e.g., narcotics, tranquilizers) and non-controlled medications (e.g., oral, injectable).
- Provides emergency assistance, including first-aid, CPR, and patient restraint.
- Assists physicians with physical exams, treatments, and laboratory tests.
- Observes and documents patient conditions, including medication reactions, treatment responses, and progress.
- Maintains accurate medical records, including unusual incident reports, patient kardex, medication reports, and seclusion/restraint logs.
- Charts vital signs and other relevant health information and ensures timely and accurate documentation.
- Provides direct nursing care to patients, including assistance with personal hygiene, bathing, grooming, and daily living activities.
- Administers topical treatments, eye/ear/nose drops, and assists with patient repositioning.
- Responds to patient alarms and assists with recreational activities and appointments.
- Provides guidance and support to lower-level direct care staff (e.g., hospital aides, orderlies, psychiatric attendants) in performing unskilled nursing duties.
- Participates in staff conferences, team meetings, and in-service training to contribute to professional development and team effectiveness.
- Orders medication and medical supplies as needed.
- Cleans and restocks nursing stations, medication carts, and equipment, ensuring proper sterilization and maintenance.
- Performs clerical tasks, such as answering phones, filing, and organizing records.
Job Requirements
LPN Requirements
- Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
- Proof of completion of an approved course in medication administration.
- Certification in IV Therapy (if administering dialysis treatments).
- Biennial licensure renewal as an LPN.
- Maintain certification in CPR.
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, and rotating shifts.
- May be required to work mandatory overtime.
- Exposure to bodily fluids, infectious diseases, and unpredictable patient behavior.
- Occasional travel to community sites may be required.
