Job Description

Job Summary: We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide exceptional patient care in a clinical setting. This role involves assisting patients with their health needs, administering medications, and supporting healthcare providers with various clinical tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care: Assist patients by conducting basic medical exams, measuring vital signs, and recording medical history.
  • Medication Administration: Administer prescribed medications and vaccinations as directed by healthcare providers.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including documenting interactions and treatments.
  • Support for Providers: Assist nurse practitioners and physicians with clinical tasks and procedures.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients on health management, medication instructions, and preventive care practices.
  • Clinical Procedures: Perform basic clinical tasks such as wound care, specimen collection, and diagnostic tests (e.g., blood pressure, blood sugar levels).
  • Coordination of Care: Ensure continuity of care by coordinating with other healthcare providers.
  • Customer Service: Deliver excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries and ensuring a positive patient experience.

Position Highlights:

  • Start Date: October 2024
  • Schedule: Up to 38 hours per week
    • Weekdays: 10-hour shifts (8:30 AM - 7:30 PM)
    • Weekends: 7-8 hour shifts every other weekend (Saturday & Sunday, 9:30 AM - 5:30 PM)
    • Typical workweek includes 2-3 weekdays plus every other weekend.
    • Some major holidays and floating to nearby locations may be required.
  • Compensation: $32 per hour

Requirements:

  • Must hold an active LPN license in the State of MD
  • Minimum of 1-year experience in a hospital, medical office/clinic, or urgent care setting.
  • Proficiency in phlebotomy and experience using electronic medical records (EMR).
  • BLS Certification is required.
