Location: Gallipolis, OH 45631
Hourly Pay: $30/hr.
Shift: 2nd Shift, 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM (Rotating Schedule, Weekends Required)

Responsibilities:
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at the Developmental Center, you will be responsible for providing nursing care and supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in our facility. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Administering Nursing Care: Provide nursing care within the scope of practice as outlined in Ohio Revised Code sections 4723.01 to 4723.40. Work under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Physician.
- Skilled Practical Nursing Procedures: Perform nursing procedures such as obtaining vital signs, applying sterile dressings, inserting catheters, administering medications (oral, rectal, topical, inhalation, subcutaneous, intramuscular), providing wound treatments, and administering enteral feedings.
- Patient Monitoring and Reporting: Observe, document, and report patient conditions and take appropriate actions. Provide thorough and knowledgeable reports of patient needs to the RN or Physician.
- Emergency Response: Respond to emergencies, provide first aid, perform CPR, and use an AED as needed.
- Documentation and Accountability: Maintain accurate medical records, including charts, patient records, medication administration records, and unusual incident forms. Implement physician orders and maintain controlled drug administration and tracking records.
- Medical Supplies and Equipment: Maintain a well-organized and stocked work area, order and inventory medical supplies, and ensure proper maintenance of medical equipment and storage areas.
- Staff Support and Training: Assist and provide orientation, training, and direction to lower-level direct staff in delivering unskilled nursing care (e.g., feeding, dressing, bathing, transferring).
- Patient Care and Supervision: Attend medical appointments, respond to patient alarms, and ensure proper supervision levels for patients. Participate in nursing meetings and collaborate with the Nursing Supervisor or Director of Nursing as needed.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Licensure: Active LPN License in Ohio.
- Experience: Experience in nursing care, particularly in a developmental disabilities or long-term care setting, is preferred.
- Ability to Respond to Emergencies: Must be able to respond quickly and effectively to medical emergencies, including performing CPR and using AED.
