A-Line Staffing is now hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse. This would be full time / 40+ hours per week.

Licensed Practical Nurse Hours

  • Can choose what shift you prefer - 2nd 3pm-11pm OR 3rd shift 11pm-7am
  • Must be able to work every other weekend

Licensed Practical Nurse Compensation

  • The pay for this position is $42.00-45.00 an hour paid weekly 
  • Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
  • A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees

Licensed Practical Nurse Responsibilities

  • Administer Medications: Dispense prescribed medications and monitor for side effects or adverse reactions.
  • Wound Care: Provide basic wound care, including dressing changes, cleaning, and monitoring healing.
  • Monitor Vital Signs: Take and record vital signs like temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and respiration. Report abnormalities to the RN or physician.
  • Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Help residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and toileting as needed.
  • Provide Comfort: Offer comfort measures for pain management and assist in mobility and repositioning to prevent bedsores.
  • Collaborate with the Healthcare Team: Work closely with RNs, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to implement care plans and ensure continuity of care.
  • Document and Report: Record and update patient information in the medical chart, noting changes in condition, medication administration, and other relevant observations.
  • Supervise Nursing Assistants: Oversee and delegate tasks to Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), ensuring proper care is provided.
  • Provide Education: Educate residents and their families on health conditions, medication management, and self-care techniques.
  • Advocate for Residents' Needs: Help ensure residents receive the care and support they need, addressing concerns with the nursing team or management.
  • Provide Emotional Support: Offer empathy and reassurance to residents, especially those dealing with chronic illness or end-of-life issues.
  • Ensure Infection Control: Follow infection control procedures and report any concerns regarding cleanliness or safety.
  • Maintain Documentation: Ensure accurate, timely documentation for compliance with regulations and facility policies.

Licensed Practical Nurse Requirements

  • LPN License in PA
  • 1+ years of LTC experience
