Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in providing therapeutic services to individuals who are dually diagnosed with intellectual/developmental disabilities and mental health disorders. This role is crucial in ensuring our clients receive personalized and effective mental health care.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Current licensure in Pennsylvania as an LPC or LCSW.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience providing therapeutic services to individuals who are dually diagnosed (IDD/MH).
  • Strong understanding of the unique challenges faced by individuals with IDD and mental health disorders.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Counseling and Mental Health Services: Provide high-quality counseling and mental health services to individuals at the Selinsgrove Center, tailoring interventions to meet the unique needs of each client.
  • Assessment and Treatment Planning: Evaluate clients’ mental health status and develop comprehensive treatment plans based on their presenting needs and goals.
  • Therapeutic Interventions: Conduct both group and individual therapy sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques to support clients’ mental health and emotional well-being.
  • Collaboration with Treatment Team: Work closely with the treatment team by reviewing care plans and collaborating with team members to implement appropriate interventions that address the behaviors of distressed individuals.
  • Crisis Intervention: Provide immediate and effective crisis intervention when necessary, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients in acute distress.
  • Staff Training: Develop and deliver in-service training sessions to staff members regarding psychological needs, therapeutic techniques, and crisis intervention strategies.
  • Meetings and Coordination: Attend treatment meetings as requested or needed to discuss client progress, share insights, and contribute to team-based care strategies.

Pay and Hours:

  • Pay: $47.00 per hour
  • Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
