Psychological Services Specialist-Licensed Professional Counselor Compensation
- Pay is between $40 and $47 per hour

Psychological Services Specialist-Licensed Professional Counselor Responsibilities
- Provide Counseling and Therapy: Deliver individual and group therapy to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and mental health concerns.
- Evaluation & Treatment: Conduct assessments to evaluate the mental health needs of individuals and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Crisis Intervention: Offer immediate intervention and support in crisis situations, helping to stabilize individuals.
- Collaboration with Treatment Team: Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, reviewing care plans and contributing to appropriate interventions.
- In-Service Training: Provide training and support to staff regarding psychological needs, therapeutic strategies, and crisis intervention techniques.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain thorough, accurate records of therapy sessions, treatment progress, and care plans.
Psychological Services Specialist-Licensed Professional Counselor Requirements
- LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) or LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) license required in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience providing therapeutic services to individuals with dual diagnoses (IDD/MH).
- Master’s degree in psychology, Education, Social Work, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team setting.
- Ability to work with individuals in a behavioral health setting, providing crisis intervention when necessary.
Psychological Services Specialist-Licensed Professional Counselor Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with individuals diagnosed with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Ability to manage complex cases with dual diagnoses in a clinical environment.
- Strong crisis management and de-escalation skills.
