Job Title: Licensed Psychologist – Law Enforcement Evaluations (PRN)
Location: Pennsylvania (Candidate must live in PA)
Shift: PRN, as-needed; days and hours vary based on employee schedules and psychologist availability for annual and follow-up sessions.
Travel Requirements: Travel throughout Pennsylvania to law enforcement facilities as needed but mostly remote. Sessions will be scheduled at the personnel's desired location if 1:1 evaluations are necessary. Work from Home flexibility.
Assignment: Ongoing, long-term contract with no specified end date
Compensation: $180 per hour
Job Overview
We are seeking a licensed Psychologist to provide essential mental health evaluations and support for law enforcement personnel, including Agents, Attorneys, Intelligence Analysts, and additional staff working in sensitive and high-stress roles. This role involves conducting Annual Check-Ins and, if needed, up to three follow-up sessions, designed to support the unique psychological needs of individuals working within the Office of Attorney General’s Child Predator Section and related units.
Responsibilities
- Conduct annual psychological evaluations and support sessions, providing individualized guidance, exercises, and recommendations as appropriate.
- Assess suitability, progress, and prognosis for each individual, making referrals for additional therapy if necessary.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to agency guidelines, assigning anonymous identifiers for individuals evaluated.
- Identify and report any urgent mental health concerns to HR and take immediate action if an individual is at imminent risk.
- Use telehealth capabilities when needed to provide flexible service options.
Minimum Qualifications
- Licensure: Active Pennsylvania license to practice psychology
- Education: Doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA-accredited program
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in law enforcement psychology and 3+ years of experience conducting evaluations
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong analytical and report-writing skills, and experience with law enforcement mental health concerns, particularly regarding child sexual abuse material cases
- Clearance: Ability to pass a background check and obtain necessary security clearances
