LTC Pharmacist Compensation

• The pay for this position is $64.27 per hour
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

LTC Pharmacist Highlights

• This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
• The required availability for this position is Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM with overtime as needed
• Must be flexible for alternating on-call weekends and during the week

LTC Pharmacist Responsibilities

• Accept and dispense prescription medications
• Monitor patient medication compliance and over-usage patterns
• Ensure that the supply of medicines is within the law and that prescribed medicines are suitable for patients
• Accurately maintain confidential patient records and pharmacy files
• Advise patients on medications, including usage, potential reactions, and answering their questions
• Provide consultation on prescription and non-prescription medications, including storage, dosage, side effects, and drug interactions
• Educate patients on medical devices such as blood pressure monitors and glucose meters
• Compound medications for external or internal use and prepare sterile solutions following proper procedures
• Supervise pharmacy staff, including pharmacy technicians and clerks
• Maintain appropriate inventory of pharmaceutical and medical supplies
• Identify patient drug-related issues and effectively communicate with physicians and other healthcare practitioners
• Work in conjunction with physicians, nurses, and other pharmacists

LTC Pharmacist Requirements

• Active Pharmacy License
• Infusion or Long Term Care pharmacy experience preferred but not required
• High School Diploma or GED
• Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days

LTC Pharmacist Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in Long Term Care or Infusion Pharmacy settings
