LTC Pharmacist Compensation

• The pay for this position is $64.27 per hour

• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment

• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

LTC Pharmacist Highlights

• This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs

• The required availability for this position is Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

LTC Pharmacist Responsibilities

• Accept and dispense prescription medications

• Monitor patient medication compliance and over-usage patterns

• Ensure that the supply of medicines is within the law and that prescribed medications are suitable for patients

• Accurately maintain confidential records of all patients and pharmacy files

• Advise patients on medication usage, potential reactions, and answer any related questions

• Provide consultations on prescription and non-prescription medications regarding storage, dosage, side effects, and drug interactions

• Educate patients on medical devices such as blood pressure monitors and glucose meters

• Compound medications for internal and external use, as well as prepare sterile solutions

• Supervise pharmacy staff, including technicians and clerks

• Maintain appropriate inventory of pharmaceutical and medical supplies

• Identify drug-related issues and effectively communicate with physicians and healthcare professionals

LTC Pharmacist Requirements

• North Carolina Registered Pharmacist (RPh) License – Required

• Long Term Care (LTC) experience – Preferred

• High School Diploma or GED

• Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
