LTC Pharmacist Compensation

The pay for this position is $64.27 per hour

Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment

A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
LTC Pharmacist Highlights

This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs

The required availability for this position is Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
LTC Pharmacist Responsibilities

Accept and dispense prescription medications

Monitor patient medication compliance and over-usage patterns

Ensure that the supply of medicines is within the law and that prescribed medications are suitable for patients

Accurately maintain confidential records of all patients and pharmacy files

Advise patients on medication usage, potential reactions, and answer any related questions

Provide consultations on prescription and non-prescription medications regarding storage, dosage, side effects, and drug interactions

Educate patients on medical devices such as blood pressure monitors and glucose meters
-
Compound medications for internal and external use, as well as prepare sterile solutions

Supervise pharmacy staff, including technicians and clerks

Maintain appropriate inventory of pharmaceutical and medical supplies

Identify drug-related issues and effectively communicate with physicians and healthcare professionals
LTC Pharmacist Requirements

North Carolina Registered Pharmacist (RPh) License – Required
-
Long Term Care (LTC) experience – Preferred

High School Diploma or GED
-
Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
