Pharmacist Compensation

• The pay for this position is $63.00 per hour.
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment.
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates.

Pharmacist Highlights

• This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs.
• The required availability for this position is 1:00 PM – 10:00 PM, with rotating weekends.
• Candidate must be local to Indianapolis, IN.

Pharmacist Responsibilities

• Evaluate physician medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, potential interactions, and route of administration.
• Make therapy change recommendations to physicians and facility staff as needed.
• Maintain patient/resident databases, including medical history, clinical and laboratory data, and concurrent medication details (including over-the-counter remedies).
• Ensure proper laboratory tests for monitoring high-risk conditions are ordered, evaluated, and discussed with healthcare team members.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide clinical and technical support as needed.
• Document all communication with physicians, nurses, healthcare team members, patients, and their families in the medical record.
• Implement policies and procedures for safe drug procurement, storage, distribution, and disposal.
• Obtain and maintain all required documentation as per federal and state regulations.
• Inform the Pharmacy Manager of medication-related errors.
• Assist facility/agency staff with procedures for safe and effective drug administration and disposal.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Pharmacist Requirements

• Valid/active Indiana Registered Pharmacist (RPh) license.
• Prior long-term care experience preferred.
• Must be able to work rotating weekends.
