A-Line Staffing is now hiring Pharmacists in Indianapolis IN 46250! The Pharmacist would be working for a Fortune 500 company and has career growth potential. This is a full-time/40+ hours per week position.

Pharmacist Compensation:

  • The pay for this position is $63.00 per hour
  • Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
  • A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Pharmacist Highlights:

  • This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
  • The required availability for this position is 1:00 PM - 10:00 PM, rotating weekends
  • Local candidates only as this is an on-site role
  • Possible temp to hire position

Pharmacist Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate physician medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, potential interactions, and route of administration, and make recommendations for therapy changes to the physician and facility staff
  • Maintain a patient/resident database with current and past medical history, clinical and laboratory data, and concurrent medication (including over-the-counter and home remedies)
  • Ensure appropriate laboratory tests are ordered, evaluated, and discussed with the healthcare team
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide clinical and technical support
  • Document all communication with physicians, nurses, other healthcare team members, and patients/residents/families in the medical record
  • Implement policies and procedures for the safe procurement, storage, distribution, use, and disposal of drugs
  • Maintain all required documentation in accordance with federal and state regulatory agencies
  • Inform Pharmacy Manager of medication-related errors
  • Assist staff with safe and effective methods for procuring, maintaining, administering, and disposing of drugs
  • Perform other assigned tasks and responsibilities as needed
  • Conduct job responsibilities in accordance with the company’s policies, federal/state laws, and professional standards

Job Requirements

Pharmacist Requirements:

  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy
  • Desired: Pharm D preferred
  • Required: Current license in the state of practice
  • Required: Knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations concerning long-term care
  • Desired: One year of experience in long-term care preferred
  • Ability to work cooperatively within a team environment

Pharmacist Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in long-term care
