Registered Nurse Hours
- Can choose what shift you prefer - 1st shift 7am-3pm OR 2nd 3pm-11pm OR 3rd shift 11pm-7am
- Working every other weekend is required
Registered Nurse Compensation
- The pay for this position is $54.00-57.00 an hour.
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees
Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Conduct regular assessments of residents’ health by monitoring vital signs, observing for changes in condition, and conducting routine physical exams.
- Dispense prescribed medications, monitor for side effects, and document any changes. Ensure patients are receiving the right doses at the right times.
- Provide skilled care for wounds, including dressing changes, monitoring for signs of infection, and making necessary recommendations for treatment.
- Oversee the treatment of chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and respiratory illnesses, adjusting care plans as needed.
- Work with the healthcare team (doctors, therapists, social workers) to create a personalized care plan for each resident based on their specific medical needs.
- Communicate with physicians, physical therapists, and other specialists to coordinate care and ensure that patients receive all necessary treatments.
- Communicate with residents’ families to keep them informed of their loved one’s health status and any changes in care.
- Guide and oversee the work of Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), ensuring they are providing proper care and following procedures.
- Provide training for new nurses or support staff and offer mentorship and guidance to ensure high standards of care.
- As the clinical leader on the unit, RNs delegate tasks to other staff members based on their training and capabilities while ensuring quality care.
- Document all care provided, changes in patient status, medication administration, and any medical interventions, following legal and regulatory standards.
- Ensure that care complies with all applicable healthcare regulations, including those set by the state, federal agencies, and the facility's policies.
- Report any significant changes in a resident’s condition to the physician and other relevant parties in a timely manner.
Registered Nurse Requirements
- RN License in PA
- 1+ years of LTC experience
