Job Description
- Provides technical performance and supervision in Nuclear Medicine and Positron Emission Tomography studies.
- Performs patient care activities including IV insertion, assessment, and preparation and administration of radiopharmaceuticals.
- Ensures patient safety by monitoring the environment and adhering to infection control practices.
- Applies critical thinking using clinical history and imaging to address patient needs.
- Engages in quality improvement initiatives to enhance workflow and patient experience.
- Operates nuclear medicine and PET equipment, maintaining productivity and minimizing error rates.
- Documents incidents and follows up with supervisors and peers as needed.
- Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday (9:00 AM–6:00 PM) and Saturday (6:00 AM–3:00 PM).
- Each shift is 8 hours with a one-hour lunch break.
- On-site presence is required.
- Associate's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field.
- Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification by ARRT or NMTCB.
- Licensed by the Texas Medical Board as a Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist.
- CPR certification.
