Job Description
RN – Med/Surg Tele (Acuity Adaptable) Pay: $55/hr.
RN – Med/Surg Tele (Acuity Adaptable) Contract: 13 weeks (possible extension up to 1 year)
RN – Med/Surg Tele (Acuity Adaptable) Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
RN – Med/Surg Tele (Acuity Adaptable) Unit: 25-bed Med/Surg/Tele acuity adaptable
RN – Med/Surg Tele (Acuity Adaptable) Unit Overview
- 25-bed Med/Surg/Tele unit
- Ratios vary 1:5–1:6 depending on acuity.
- Patient population includes mixed medical, surgical, and telemetry patients.
- Must have recent experience with:
- EPIC (within last 12 months)
- Phlebotomy
- Floating required based on census and staffing.
- Charge RN experience highly preferred but not required.
- RN must be willing to train into charge responsibilities.
- Interviews require.
- Takes a patient assignment.
- Pyxis checks
- Crash cart checks.
- Assigning admissions
- Liaison to supervisor
- Assigning breaks and meals
- Making next-shift assignments based on patient care needs.
- Active RN license
- BLS and ACLS required (must be in file to submit)
- 2+ years of recent Med/Surg + Telemetry experience
- Recent EPIC experience (last 12 months)
- Recent phlebotomy experience (last 12 months)
- Willing to float.
- Solid black scrubs required.
- Must work every other holiday.
- RTO due at submission
- Max 7 days (more = automatic rejection)
- Block scheduling considered case-by-case.
- Accredited nursing degree required (ACEN or CCNE only)
