MACHINE OPERATOR | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION:
- Location: Mebane NC 27302 – 100% On-site
- Payrate: $20.50/hr
- Required Availability: Full-Time | Mon–Wed, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, with rotating Thursday 9:00 PM – 5:30 AM
MACHINE OPERATOR | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS:
The Machine Operator will support high-volume production in a regulated manufacturing environment. This role focuses on operating automated equipment, maintaining quality standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
MACHINE OPERATOR | RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set up, operate, and shut down automated production lines, including changeovers and adjustments
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance; escalate equipment issues as needed
- Troubleshoot basic machine faults and quality deviations
- Accurately document production, quality, and maintenance activities in compliance with GMP standards
- Monitor and improve performance metrics such as output, scrap, and downtime
- Pull and feed raw materials; manage inventory of components and finished goods
- Use manufacturing systems to support production tracking and traceability
- Participate in root-cause analysis and continuous improvement efforts
- Assist with SOP updates and training of new team members
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Support overtime needs as business requires
MACHINE OPERATOR | REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED (verifiable) required
- Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
- 2+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably in a regulated environment required
- Strong attention to detail and quality awareness
- Ability to read charts, diagrams, and perform basic math
- Comfortable using PCs and Windows-based systems
- Experience with manufacturing systems (ERP/MES) preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 40 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks
