MACHINE OPERATOR | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION:
- Location: Canaan CT 06018 – 100% On-site
- Payrate: $20/hr
- Required Availability: Full-Time | Day Shift | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

- Rotating schedule (alternates every two weeks)
MACHINE OPERATOR | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS:
The Machine Operator will support manufacturing and production operations in a regulated environment. This role performs routine production and quality tasks while maintaining strict compliance with safety, quality, and documentation standards.
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
MACHINE OPERATOR | RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform routine production tasks including filling, packing, packaging, assembling, labeling, and inspecting products
- Operate manufacturing equipment under general supervision
- Conduct in-process quality checks and accurately complete all required documentation
- Maintain records in compliance with FDA, GMP, and ISO standards
- Assist with equipment and product changeovers
- Support troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and minor equipment repairs
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas
- Accurately record production data, scrap, and system transactions
- Identify and report production or quality issues to leadership
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and team problem-solving activities
- Support effective shift handoffs and team communication
- Work overtime as needed to meet production demands
MACHINE OPERATOR | REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED (verifiable) required
- Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
- Prior manufacturing or industrial experience required
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend English (required)
- Ability to perform basic math calculations
- Successful completion of background screening prior to start
- Ability to work rotating schedules and extended hours as needed
- Willingness to rotate between tasks and responsibilities
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Work performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift
- Ability to lift and move materials as required by the role
