Job Description
Production Operator – A Shift (6AM–6PM, 12-Hour Rotating)
Machine Operator Location: Columbus, NE 68601
Machine Operator Pay Rate: $20.00/hr
Machine Operator Shift: A Shift – 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Machine Operator Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts, 2-week rotation
Education: High School Diploma or GED required
Machine Operator Position Summary
We are seeking reliable Production Operators – A Shift to support manufacturing operations. This role includes performing routine production tasks such as filling, packing, packaging, assembling, labeling, and inspecting under general supervision. Employees must maintain accurate records, comply with FDA regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and ISO9000 standards, and work effectively in a team environment.
Machine Operator Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine production tasks including filling, packing, packaging, assembling, labeling, and inspecting
- Conduct utility operations as needed to support production
- Maintain accurate and legible records and logs
- Follow standard operating procedures and instructions under direct supervision
- Make effective decisions within the scope of routine tasks
- Rotate between different tasks and responsibilities as assigned
- Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve production goals
- Work flexible and/or extended hours as required
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors
Machine Operator Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Ability to read, write, interpret, and comprehend specifications in English
- Basic math skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- 1–2 years of experience in production or manufacturing preferred
- Ability to follow instructions and work within standard practices
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work well in a team and adapt to changing tasks
