MACHINE OPERATOR | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION:
- Location: Columbus NE 68601 – 100% on-site
- Payrate: $20/hr
- Required Availability: Full-Time | Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
MACHINE OPERATOR | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS:
The Machine Operator will support daily production operations through equipment operation, inspection, packaging, quality checks, and documentation while maintaining compliance with quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate is a team player who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in producing quality products, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
MACHINE OPERATOR | RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate production equipment and support manufacturing processes.
- Perform product inspection, packaging, labeling, and assembly activities.
- Conduct visual quality inspections and document results accurately.
- Perform equipment changeovers, line clearances, and cleaning activities.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and escalate concerns when necessary.
- Maintain accurate production records and system transactions.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, manufacturing procedures, and safety requirements.
- Support continuous production flow and meet established production goals.
- Assist with rework activities and process improvements as needed.
- Participate in cross-training initiatives to support operational needs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve department objectives.
MACHINE OPERATOR | REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED (verifiable)
- Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
- Previous manufacturing, production, assembly, packaging, or machine operation experience.
- Experience working in regulated manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with production systems and quality documentation practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Basic computer and data-entry skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong organizational skills and dependability.
- English communication skills required.
