Machine Operator | Details and Compensation:
- Location: Sparks Glencoe, MD 21152 – 100% on-site
- Please Note: This location is not accessible by public transit
- Payrate: $18.55/hr
- Required Availability: B shift: 12-hour shifts from 5:45 PM to 6:00 AM.
- Week 1: Monday – Wednesday
- Week 2: Monday – Thursday
Machine Operator | Summary and Highlights:
The Machine Operator will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting moderately complex or automated manufacturing equipment in a regulated environment. This role involves hands-on assembly-line tasks such as filling, labeling, inspecting, and packaging.
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Machine Operator | Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate production machinery and automation systems.
- Perform minor maintenance and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Inspect in-process parts for consistent quality; remove defective materials.
- Utilize gauges and tools to measure close tolerances.
- Document quality, safety, and maintenance activities accurately.
- Identify and resolve basic machine or product performance issues.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and adhere to all safety protocols.
- Work collaboratively with team members and support cross-functional needs.
- May be required to assist in sterilized or cleanroom environments.
- Overtime may be required based on business demand.
Machine Operator | Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED (Verifiable)
- Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
- 2+ years of manufacturing experience in a regulated environment (FDA preferred) OR an AA technical degree with 0 years’ experience
- Ability to read, write, and understand English, perform basic arithmetic, and follow instructions
- Must be proficient using PCs in a Windows environment
- Ability to work independently and recognize deviations in processes
- Strong attention to detail and punctuality
Preferred Experience:
- Background in food, pharmaceutical, or industrial manufacturing.
- Basic knowledge of statistical process control.
