Job Description
Title: General Assembler
Location: Covington, GA
Pay Rate: $15.50/hr
Schedule: Mon – Fri, 6:00AM – 2:30PM EST, including potential overtime work
The General Assembler uses a variety of equipment, such as inspection and light equipment, handcarts, to move materials, parts, assemblies, and scrap products or goods within a plant, office, or warehouse. Additionally, they will sort and inspect materials. General Assemblers should have the ability to read rulers, good vision, maintain quality records, good writing skills, and maintain good documentation practices. They will develop skills in basic tasks, techniques, and procedures within one skill area / process / method. They will apply basic knowledge and skills to complete routine tasks consisting of prescribed steps. The General Assembler will work within clearly defined SOPs and/or scientific methods, and adheres to quality guidelines, working under general to limited supervision.
Position Qualifications:
• 1+ year warehouse or related experience and/or training
• Effective communication skills at a level co-workers and Team Leads/Supervisors can understand
• Ability to read, write, interpret, and comprehend documents written in English, and perform basic math calculations
• Ability to perform/operate in a metrics-driven environment
• General computer skills
• A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED; Associate’s/Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical field preferred

The job can require lifting and/or moving over 50 lbs. It is hot in the summer months (no AC) and cold in the winter months (limited heating). The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud. Other duties may be assigned.
