MATERIAL HANDLER - FORKLIFT OPERATOR | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION:
- Location: Four Oaks NC 27524 – 100% on-site
- Payrate: $18/hr
- Required Availability: Full-Time | Monday – Friday, 6 AM - 2 PM
MATERIAL HANDLER - FORKLIFT OPERATOR | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS:
The Material Handler - Forklift Operator will work within clearly defined standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure quality and efficiency in a metrics-driven environment. This role involves using a variety of material handling equipment to move parts, assemblies, and finished goods throughout the facility.
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
MATERIAL HANDLER - FORKLIFT OPERATOR | RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate forklifts, conveyors, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks to move materials and products.
- Material Handling: Manage the movement of goods within the warehouse, plant, or office while maintaining accurate records of transfers.
- Process Adherence: Follow prescribed steps and quality guidelines to complete routine tasks under general supervision.
- Documentation: Read, write, and comprehend English-language documents; perform basic math calculations as required.
- Communication: Maintain effective communication with team members and supervisors.
MATERIAL HANDLER - FORKLIFT OPERATOR | REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED (verifiable)
- Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
- Previous Forklift driving experience is required.
- Experience in warehouse or distribution required.
- Experience in manufacturing environments are preferred.
- Physical Ability: Must be able to lift and move over 50 lbs.
- General computer skills and the ability to operate in a metrics-driven environment.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- This position involves regular walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and repetitive motion of the wrists and hands.
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibrations, and varying temperatures (the facility is not climate-controlled).
- Noise levels in the work environment are typically moderate to loud.
