MATERIAL HANDLER | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION:
- Location: Four Oaks NC 27524 – 100% On-site
- Payrate: $19.25/hr
- Required Availability: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 230pm – 1030pm
MATERIAL HANDLER | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS:
The Material Handler will support material handling and warehouse operations on 2nd shift. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment and requires prior forklift experience.
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
MATERIAL HANDLER | RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (conveyors, cranes, handcarts, power trucks)
- Move materials, parts, assemblies, and finished goods throughout the warehouse
- Follow defined SOPs and quality guidelines
- Complete routine warehouse tasks using prescribed steps and procedures
- Maintain basic records as required
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Work in a metrics-driven environment focused on safety and productivity
- Perform general warehouse duties as assigned
MATERIAL HANDLER | REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED (verifiable) required
- Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
- 1 year of warehouse or related experience preferred
- Forklift experience required (certification or prior hands-on use)
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend English
- Ability to perform basic math calculations
- General computer skills
- Strong communication skills and reliability
Physical & Work Environment
- Ability to lift and/or move 50+ lbs
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, and repetitive hand motions
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts and warehouse equipment
- Hot conditions in summer (no A/C) and cold conditions in winter (limited heat)
- Moderate to loud noise levels
