MATERIAL HANDLER | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION:
- Location: Madison, GA 30650 – 100% On-site
- Payrate: $16.50/hr
- Required Availability: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
MATERIAL HANDLER | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS:
The Material Handler is essential for moving materials, parts, and finished goods throughout our facility using a variety of equipment. You will work within established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure quality and efficiency in a metrics-driven environment.
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
MATERIAL HANDLER | RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate forklifts, conveyors, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks to transport goods within the plant or warehouse.
- Material Movement: Manage the flow of assemblies and finished products while adhering to strict quality guidelines.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of material movement and inventory; use general computer skills for data entry.
- Compliance: Follow clearly defined SOPs and scientific methods to ensure safety and quality standards are consistently met.
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to meet daily production goals.
MATERIAL HANDLER | REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED (verifiable)
- Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
- 1 year of warehouse experience or related training is preferred.
- Familiarity with operating warehouse equipment (forklifts, cranes, etc.) and general computer skills are a plus.
- Willingness to obtain and maintain necessary licenses or certifications as required by the role.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend English documents and perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Physical Ability: Must be able to lift and move items over 50 lbs. The role involves walking, standing, stooping, and reaching for the duration of the shift.
- Environment: Comfortable working in a facility with moving mechanical parts and varying temperatures (hot in summer, cold in winter).
