MATERIAL HANDLER | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION:

  • Location: Madison, GA 30650 – 100% On-site
  • Payrate: $16.50/hr
  • Required Availability: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

MATERIAL HANDLER | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS:

The Material Handler is essential for moving materials, parts, and finished goods throughout our facility using a variety of equipment. You will work within established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure quality and efficiency in a metrics-driven environment.

  • This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
  • Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
  • A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

MATERIAL HANDLER | RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate forklifts, conveyors, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks to transport goods within the plant or warehouse.
  • Material Movement: Manage the flow of assemblies and finished products while adhering to strict quality guidelines.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of material movement and inventory; use general computer skills for data entry.
  • Compliance: Follow clearly defined SOPs and scientific methods to ensure safety and quality standards are consistently met.
  • Collaboration: Communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to meet daily production goals.

MATERIAL HANDLER | REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED (verifiable)
  • Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
  • 1 year of warehouse experience or related training is preferred.
  • Familiarity with operating warehouse equipment (forklifts, cranes, etc.) and general computer skills are a plus.
  • Willingness to obtain and maintain necessary licenses or certifications as required by the role.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend English documents and perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Physical Ability: Must be able to lift and move items over 50 lbs. The role involves walking, standing, stooping, and reaching for the duration of the shift.
  • Environment: Comfortable working in a facility with moving mechanical parts and varying temperatures (hot in summer, cold in winter).
