MATERIAL HANDLER | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION:
- Location: Sparks Glencoe Maryland 21152– 100% On-site
- Payrate: $18/hr
- Required Availability: Full-Time | 1st shift, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
MATERIAL HANDLER | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS:
The Material Handler is responsible for the safe and accurate movement of products within a fast-paced distribution center. This role supports order fulfillment, inventory movement, and shipping operations while maintaining strict safety, quality, and documentation standards.
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs

MATERIAL HANDLER | RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Pick, pack, label, and process customer orders using RF scanning technology
- Load and unload inbound and outbound shipments using a warehouse management system
- Build and re-palletize orders for shipment, including shrink wrapping and manifesting
- Verify shipment accuracy and ensure proper packaging
- Operate material handling equipment (MHE) safely and responsibly
- Maintain clean, organized, and compliant work areas per SOPs and GDP guidelines
- Follow all safety procedures and immediately report hazards, injuries, or equipment issues
- Complete required training, including RF device and equipment certification
- Assist with inventory movement, dock operations, and cross-training as needed
MATERIAL HANDLER | REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED (verifiable) required
- Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
- Experience operating material handling equipment such as order pickers, reach trucks, counterbalance forklifts, dock stockers, or similar
- Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, metrics-driven distribution environment
- Ability to read and interpret distribution and shipping documents
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work independently when needed
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, push, pull, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs in some areas
- Regular exposure to moving mechanical equipment
