MATERIAL HANDLER | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION:

• Location: Sparks Glencoe MD 21152 – 100% On-site
• Payrate: $18/hr
• Required Availability: Full-Time | Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (overtime opportunities available)

MATERIAL HANDLER | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS:

The Material Handler role includes processing customer orders, palletizing shipments, operating material handling equipment, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and prioritizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork.

• This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

MATERIAL HANDLER | RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Safely load, unload, and move products using forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Process customer orders using RF technology, including scanning, picking, packing, and labeling.
• Assemble and palletize orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy in packaging.
• Maintain compliance with standard operating procedures and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
• Follow safety procedures and report any hazards, accidents, or injuries immediately.
• Assist with equipment operation training and maintain required certifications.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with sanitation guidelines.
• Cross-train and support other warehouse roles as needed.

MATERIAL HANDLER | REQUIREMENTS:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED (verifiable) required
• Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
• 2+ years of relevant warehouse experience
• Experience with material handling equipment (order pickers, reach trucks, counterbalance forklifts, dock stockers).
• Ability to obtain Forklift Certification per company requirements.
• Strong verbal communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment with minimal supervision.
• Basic analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent walking, standing, lifting (up to 50 lbs), bending, reaching, and handling materials.
• Exposure to moving mechanical equipment and refrigerated areas.
