Mechanical Engineering Technician Compensation

• The pay for this position is $22.00 per hour.
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment.
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates.

Mechanical Engineering Technician Highlights

• This is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs.
• The required availability for this position is full-time, 40 hours per week, on-site 5 days a week.

Mechanical Engineering Technician Responsibilities

• Perform functional testing of medical devices.
• Use hand tools and equipment for testing.
• Maintain accurate records of testing activities.
• Maintain lab safety and cleanliness.
• Work with technical drawings and possess mechanical aptitude.
• Read and comprehend safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and specifications.
• Utilize basic computer skills and manage time effectively.

Mechanical Engineering Technician Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED with 5-7 years of technician experience, or Associate’s Degree with 3-5 years of experience, or Bachelor’s Degree with 1-3 years of experience.
• Medical device testing experience preferred.
• Proficiency in using Instron BH3 or BHU software.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with moderate supervision.
• Basic computer skills and organizational capabilities.
• Mechanical aptitude for machines and tools.

Mechanical Engineering Technician Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in medical device testing.
