Mechanical Maintenance Technician – 3rd Shift Compensation
The pay for this position is $21.50 per hour.

Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment.

A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates.

Mechanical Maintenance Technician – 3rd Shift Highlights
This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs.
The required availability for this position is 3rd shift, Sunday–Thursday, 12am – 8am.

Mechanical Maintenance Technician – 3rd Shift Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical breakdowns on production equipment.

• Set up, debug, optimize, and maintain manufacturing machinery.

• Use feeler gauges and tools to measure tolerances, torque, and clearances.

• Work with cams, cam-followers, rod-ends, bushings, chain drives, conveyors, gear-boxes, vacuum and pneumatic systems, ball valves, and other mechanical components.

• Perform preventative maintenance per plant PM program.

• Maintain clear equipment logs, downtime records, and production documentation.

• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds.

• Support a continuous improvement and team-oriented environment.

Mechanical Maintenance Technician – 3rd Shift Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Mechanical troubleshooting and hands-on experience required.

• Knowledge of feeler gauges, machine blueprint reading, and mechanical tools.

• Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs, push/pull 100 lbs.

• Must have clear and legible handwriting.

• Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days.

• Eye exam required contingent upon hire; must have 20/30 vision (corrected or uncorrected) and/or pass a color vision exam.

Mechanical Maintenance Technician – 3rd Shift Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with high-speed manufacturing environments.

• Background in automotive, HVAC, machinist, or low voltage electronics/sensors.

Pre-Screening Questions:

• How do you go about troubleshooting a mechanical breakdown?

• What steps would you take to replace a gear box?

• What process would you use to determine a root cause of a machine malfunction?
