Medical Insurance Biller Details and Compensation:
- Location: Arlington TX 76010 – 100% on-site
- Payrate: $19/hr
- Required Availability: Monday – Friday, 9 AM – 530 PM
Medical Insurance Biller Summary and Highlights:
The Medical Insurance Biller role serves as a critical point of contact for pharmacists, facilities, physicians, and prescription drug plans (PDPs) regarding therapeutic interchanges and prior authorization requests. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional communication skills, provide thorough documentation, and work closely with stakeholders to resolve payment denials and complete prior authorization forms efficiently.
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Medical Insurance Biller Responsibilities:
- Act as a resource for facilities by obtaining necessary information and completing required documentation.
- Understand insurance and Medicaid formularies, including prior authorization processes.
- Make outgoing calls to facilities, plans, and physicians to obtain approvals.
- Collaborate with billing offices, pharmacy directors, and customers to address and resolve issues.
- Support the team with clinical assistance on prior authorization submissions.
- Meet productivity goals related to claims and calls as set by leadership.
- Conduct responsibilities in compliance with company policies, applicable laws, and professional standards.
- Develop expertise in insurance verification, claim adjudication, and back-end billing processes.
- Prioritize work to meet tight deadlines and ensure accuracy in documentation.
Medical Insurance Biller Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 1+ year of Pharmacy Tech experience required, 3+ years of call center experience preferred
- Must have experience with Microsoft Excel
- Current and valid Pharmacy Technician license required
- Third-party medical billing experience; familiarity with EMAR systems required.
- Frameworks and LTC400 experience preferred.
- Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
