Med Surg Registered Nurse (RN) – Nights
Location: Hastings, MI 49058 (Onsite)
Schedule: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM • 36 hours/week • Every other weekend • No on-call
Pay: $45.00–$52.00/hr (competitive, based on experience)

Hiring a Med Surg Registered Nurse (RN) for a busy inpatient acute care environment. This Med Surg RN night shift role is ideal for a clinically strong bedside nurse who can assess, prioritize, document clearly in the EMR/EHR, and collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to drive safe outcomes. Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based bedside nursing care aligned with ANA standards and facility policies
• Perform head-to-toe assessments, identify changes in condition, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans; evaluate outcomes and adjust interventions
• Administer medications and treatments safely (including IV therapy per scope and policy)
• Perform point-of-care testing as required and document results accurately
• Coordinate care with providers and the care team to support continuity across the inpatient stay
• Provide patient/family education and support discharge planning to ensure safe transitions of care
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR/EHR)
• Delegate appropriately to support staff to promote safe, efficient patient care
• Participate in quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and unit competencies

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS (AHA or Red Cross)
• Current ACLS
• Current NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale) certification
• Ability to work 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM and every other weekend
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, time management, and teamwork skills
• Comfortable in an inpatient med-surg / acute care setting with multiple priorities
• Scrub color: Navy Blue

Qualifications
