Med/Surg Registered Nurse Summary and Highlights:
  • Job Type: Contract (13 Weeks)
  • Shift: Nights, 7pm – 730am | 36 hours per week
  • Med/Surg oncology unit, 14-bed unit, 1:5/7
The Med/Surg Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation; and effectively interacts with patient, significant others, and other health team members while maintaining standards of professional nursing.
Med/Surg Registered Nurse Details and Compensation:
  • Location: Akron, OH 44304
  • Payrate: Negotiable based on traveler status and experience
  • Required Availability: Nights, 7pm – 730am | 36 hours per week | Some weekends and holidays
Med/Surg Registered Nurse Responsibilities:
  • 14-bed Med/surg oncology unit
  • Electronic Medical Records (EMR): EPIC
  • Ratios 1:5/7
  • Float Required
  • MUST be proficient with IV starts and phlebotomy
Med/Surg Registered Nurse Requirements:
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing through the CCNE or ACEN
  • Active OH RN License
  • 2+ years of relevant experience | Med/Surg
  • BLS certifications (current)
  • Chemo Certification welcomed
  • EPIC experience in the last year
