Job Title: Med Surg Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Macomb County, MI
Weekly Hours 36 hr/week
Number of Shifts per week: 3 shifts per week
Shift Schedule:  Days: 7:30am - 7:00pm Nights 7:00pm - 7:30am (Depending hospital needs)
Pay: $48.00 - $50.00 per hour
Pay Schedule: Weekly

RN Med Surg (Registered Nurse) Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients admitted to the medical-surgical/Telemetry unit, including those recovering from surgeries, managing chronic illnesses, and undergoing diagnostic procedures.
• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' health status, monitor vital signs, and evaluate response to treatments and interventions.
• Administer medications, perform wound care, and assist with various medical procedures as prescribed by physicians, following established protocols and safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members, including physicians, nurse practitioners, therapists, and case managers, to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
• Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care techniques, promoting health literacy and empowering patients to participate in their care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in electronic health records (EHR) systems.

RN Med Surg(Registered Nurse) Minimum Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) MI State License
• Minimum 1 year Med Surg  experience
• Telemetry experience highly preferred
• Current ACLS, NIHSS, and BLS
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
