*The role is remote but candidates must reside in the state of Texas preferably El Paso, TX for consideration!*

Location: Texas-based applicants only, preferably El Paso (Will be working from home)

Pay Rate: $18-$20/hr based on experience

Schedule: Hours of operation: 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM CST

  • 4 shift options:
    • 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
    • 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
    • 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM
    • 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM
  • Overtime potential: May be required to support other departments based on business needs.
  • Breaks: 1-hour lunch break during training, 30-minute lunch break once assigned to shift, plus two 15-minute breaks.

About the Role:

We are looking for a Service Care Coordinator 1 to join our team. This is a remote position for Texas residents (preferably El Paso), where you will work as part of a dynamic call center team, assisting Medicaid members with their healthcare needs. In this role, you will be responsible for helping members navigate their benefits, resolve inquiries, and ensure they receive the care they need in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage inbound calls in a call center environment, assisting Medicaid members with services such as PCP changes, ID cards, and transportation coordination.
  • Educate and assist members in understanding their benefits and available services.
  • Meet performance metrics for adherence (90% or above) and quality (95% or above).
  • Use various software tools including Microsoft Office Suite, Avaya, Zoom, and Skype to communicate and manage case information.
  • Participate in training and engage with a trainer for ongoing role development.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • At least 4 years of combined work experience in a relevant field (e.g., call center, medical insurance, or customer service).
  • Experience working with the aging, blind, and disabled population.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume call center environment
  • High School Diploma or GED required

Software Skills Required:

  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Avaya, Zoom, Skype for communication.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Background in Managed Care and working within MCOs (Managed Care Organizations).
  • Bilingual candidates are preferred (though a language line is available for non-bilingual applicants).
  • MCO insurance experience is a plus.
  • Preferred: BA in Social Work, Healthcare Management, or related fields, or certifications such as LVN, CNA, CMA, RT, or Pharmacy Tech.
