Medical Assistant II Job Description:
Responsible for assisting physicians with patient flow and clinical care following established standards and practices. The role serves as a liaison between patients, staff, and providers to coordinate efficient, high-quality care. Responsibilities include rooming patients, administering injections, assisting with orders, and collecting/documenting data in the EHR to meet quality metrics.
Medical Assistant II Schedule & Location:
Full-time schedule in a fast-paced clinical setting in Dallas, TX 75230.
Medical Assistant II Salary/Wage:
$21.00 – $24.00 per hour
Medical Assistant II Duties:
• Room patients and prepare them for examination and treatment
• Administer injections and perform routine clinical procedures as directed
• Assist with orders and communicate provider instructions to patients
• Document patient information accurately in the electronic health record (EHR)
• Support clinic workflow and ensure a smooth patient experience
• Maintain compliance with safety regulations and OSHA standards
• Act as a primary liaison between patients, staff, and providers
• Respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations
Medical Assistant II Required Qualifications:
• 1-2 years of experience in a primary care or surgical clinic setting
• Active Medical Assistant Certification required
• Proficient in medical terminology, CPT-4, and ICD-10 coding
• Strong customer service and computer skills
• Ability to adapt to changing standards and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills
Medical Assistant II Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to stand and walk for long periods
• Ability to lift and carry items up to 40 lbs
• Full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients
• Manual and finger dexterity, eye-hand coordination required
• Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range
Medical Assistant II Education:
• High School diploma or GED required
