Job Description:

The Medical Assistant III plays a critical role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced orthopedic clinical setting. This individual will work closely with providers and other staff to ensure patients have a seamless and positive experience during their visit.

Medical Assistant III Schedule & Location:

Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Onsite | Bellaire, TX 77401 – Live Divisions

Medical Assistant III Salary/Wage:

$18.00 – $22.00 per hour (based on experience)

Medical Assistant III Duties:

• Support clinical team in planning and preparing for patient visits

• Room patients, document vital signs, reason for visit, medication list, and other health information

• Perform hearing/vision tests, EKGs, spirometry, point-of-care testing, specimen collection, and equipment reprocessing

• Prepare and stock exam rooms; clean between patients

• Assist with routine and specialty procedures

• Schedule follow-up appointments or referrals

• Handle clerical duties such as photocopying, scanning, and faxing

• Respond to telephone messages and in-person inquiries with appropriate follow-up

• Manage emergencies calmly and effectively

• Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines

• Perform other duties as needed

Medical Assistant III Required Qualification:

• BLS Certification – Required

• CMA, RMA, CCMA, or NCMA Certification – Preferred

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a healthcare setting

• Strong orthopedic background and ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinic environment

Medical Assistant III Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, 20 lbs frequently, and 10 lbs constantly

Medical Assistant III Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program
