Medical Assistant III Highlights

• The pay for this position is $17.00-$19.00 per hour.
• Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Onsite position
• This position is a full-time contract opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Support clinical operations to ensure safe, timely, and effective patient care
• Prepare for patient visits by organizing charts, reviewing schedules, and confirming necessary materials/tests
• Room patients and document vital signs, chief complaint, medications, allergies, smoking history, etc.
• Perform validated clinical tasks such as hearing/vision tests, EKGs, spirometry, specimen collection, and equipment reprocessing
• Assist with routine and specialty procedures
• Maintain and stock exam rooms, clean rooms between visits
• Schedule follow-up appointments and referrals
• Handle telephone messaging and front-desk screening
• Respond to emergency situations per protocol
• Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold HIPAA standards
• Perform additional administrative and clinical duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an approved Medical Assistant training program
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a healthcare setting
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – Required
• CMA, RMA, CCMA, or NCMA certification – Preferred
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs occasionally
• Familiarity with standard clinical equipment and processes
