A-Line Staffing is now hiring a Certified Medical Assistant in the Cincinnati, OH area. The Certified Medical Assistant would be working for a Fortune 500 company and has career growth potential. This would be full-time / 40+ hours per week.

Compensation
  • The pay for this position is between $18.00 and $21.00 per hour
  • Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
  • A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Highlights
  • This position is a Contract to Hire position
  • The required availability for this position is Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm w/Rotating weekend schedule every 6-8 weeks

Responsibilities for Certified Medical Assistant
  • Fluent in Medical Terminology & Medication Refill protocols
  • Manages incoming and outgoing phone calls
  • Updates medical history based on the information provided by the patient
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Works efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, clinic environment
  • Appropriately escalates issues outside of existing protocols to meet the needs of the patient
  • Follows all HIPAA and privacy rules while discussing sensitive health information with the patient or their authorized delegates
  • Schedules appointments and queries clinical information from the EMR (e-Clinical Works)
  • Meets performance and service level criteria as defined in “Performance Metrics”
  • Works well with a diverse group of professionals in a team environment

Requirements for Certified Medical Assistant
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2-3 years related experience, preferably in a Primary Health Care setting
  • Certified Medical Assistant –preferred
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Experienced in properly handling confidential and sensitive information; knowledge of HIPAA rules and regulations
  • Experience with basic desktop software, medical practice management, and electronic medical record systems
