The Medical Economic Analyst role offers career growth potential while supporting critical analyses for the Pennsylvania Medical Assistance Program. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position.

Medical Economic Analyst Compensation
- The pay for this position is $27 per hour
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Medical Economic Analyst Highlights
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- The required availability for this position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, with a 30-minute lunch
Medical Economic Analyst Responsibilities
- Design and conduct fiscal and program analyses to support Medical Assistance Program decision-making
- Analyze medical assistance costs, trends, and program initiatives
- Perform cost-benefit analyses and fiscal impact assessments for cost containment initiatives
- Analyze large data sets to identify savings targets and validate cost-saving measures
- Provide detailed analyses for provider network management and reimbursement strategies
- Develop and maintain healthcare payment reconciliation systems
- Prepare summary reports, defend analyses, and present findings to stakeholders
- Monitor and analyze CHC-MCO provider networks, Quality Improvement Plans, and network adequacy reports
- Conduct comparative analyses and issue corrective or improvement plans as necessary
Medical Economic Analyst Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical economic analyses
- Proficient in SAS, SQL, and Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Experience with complex medical information databases
- Knowledge of inpatient/outpatient operations or claims analysis to identify billing patterns
- Understanding of Medicaid/Medical Assistance is preferred but not required
- Strong analytical and communication skills
