Medical Economic Analyst Compensation

• The pay for this position is $27 per hour
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Medical Economic Analyst Highlights

• This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
• The required availability for this position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, with a 30-minute lunch

Medical Economic Analyst Responsibilities

• Design and conduct fiscal and program analyses to support Medical Assistance Program decision-making
• Analyze medical assistance costs, trends, and program initiatives
• Perform cost-benefit analyses and fiscal impact assessments for cost containment initiatives
• Analyze large data sets to identify savings targets and validate cost-saving measures
• Provide detailed analyses for provider network management and reimbursement strategies
• Develop and maintain healthcare payment reconciliation systems
• Prepare summary reports, defend analyses, and present findings to stakeholders
• Monitor and analyze CHC-MCO provider networks, Quality Improvement Plans, and network adequacy reports
• Conduct comparative analyses and issue corrective or improvement plans as necessary

Medical Economic Analyst Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical economic analyses
• Proficient in SAS, SQL, and Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Experience with complex medical information databases
• Knowledge of inpatient/outpatient operations or claims analysis to identify billing patterns
• Understanding of Medicaid/Medical Assistance is preferred but not required
• Strong analytical and communication skills
