Job Title: Medical Records Administrator
Location: Clarks Summit, PA 18411
Shift: MON-FRI 8:30AM-4:30PM
Pay: $33.00 hourly / $68K annually
Scheduled Pay: Bi-Weekly

Medical Records Administrator Description/Duties
- The Medical Records Director proficiently interprets, applies, and continuously critically evaluates the hospital’s compliance with requirements for the hospital’s medical records operations. Some examples of specific operating requirements: Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Conditions of Participation for Hospitals, Medicare Claims Processing Manual, Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM), Current Procedural Terminology (CPT), International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems (ICD), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), and ICD Official Guidelines for Coding and Reporting. The Medical Records Director facilitates the hospital’s compliance with all applicable requirements related to the hospital’s medical records operations. The Medical Records Director trains hospital personnel on medical records topics and related topics as assigned
Medical Records Director Requirements
- Registration as a Medical Records Administrator (RHIA) with the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) -
- OR 2-years of experience as a Medical Records Technician (RHIT) and registration as a RHIT with AHIMA -
- OR 4-years of experience in the preparation, classification, and abstracting of medical reports in a medical records department and registration as a RHIT with AHIMA
- High School Diploma or GED
