Medical Staff Services Coordinator Compensation
- The pay for this position is $20.00 to $22.00 per hour
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Medical Staff Services Coordinator Highlights
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- The required availability for this position is Monday through Friday either 7:00 am to 3:30 pm OR 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

Medical Staff Services Coordinator Responsibilities
- Manager is looking for a candidate to review credentialing files and prepare them for committee. The candidate will not be interacting with the committee. Once the files are reviewed/prepped they are passed onto another team to present. The primary task will be to review credentialing and re-credentialing applications and check for completeness and dive into details to confirm everything is ready to go to committee. We are looking for a candidate that would be able to pick up immediately with limited assistance.
- Responsible for coordination and oversight of the hospital Medical Staff Services department including collaborative participation with the Centralized Credentialing Services (CCS) on the medical staff credentialing and recredentialing processes.
- Coordinates and manages medical staff meetings and the flow of the information from the Medical Staff Committees through the Medical Executive Committee to the Board of Trustees.
- Responds to verification requests. Acts as a resource to the medical staff regarding bylaws, rules and regulations, policies, regulatory and accreditation requirements and standards.
- Assists in compliance with the accrediting and regulatory agencies (i.e., Joint Commission, NCQA, URAC, HFAP) in regards to credentialing while developing and maintaining a working knowledge of the statutes and laws.
- Coordinates the continuing medical education program and performs bookkeeping activities for the medical staff.
- Work closely with and maintain close communications with medical staff leaders, hospital administration and legal council on selected medical staff issues.
- Maintains the confidentiality of all business/work and medical staff information.
- Functions as a member of the team to assure optimum performance of the department.

Job Requirements
Medical Staff Services Coordinator Requirements
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in healthcare credentialing setting
- Associate degree or two years college education
- High School Diploma or GED
- Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
Medical Staff Services Coordinator Preferred Qualifications
- A candidate with a background in processing credential files in an acute care hospital setting would have a leg up on other candidates.
- CPMSM or CPCS certification by the National Association of Medical Staff Services (NAMSS) within one year from date of hire.
- Bachelor’s Degree
