Medical Technologist Compensation
- The pay for this position is $38 per hour.
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment.
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates.
Medical Technologist Highlights
- This is a night shift role, 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM, with two weekends per month required.
- This position is a contract assignment with potential for permanent hire based on attendance, performance, and business needs.
Medical Technologist Responsibilities
- Perform routine and complex analytic procedures on blood and other body fluids or specimens.
- Operate laboratory instruments and information systems.
- Ensure accuracy and efficiency in laboratory procedures under general supervision.
Medical Technologist Requirements
- Education:
- Completion of an accredited Bachelor’s Degree program in Medical Technology, Medical Laboratory Sciences, or Clinical Laboratory Sciences.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, or Biology may be considered if coursework aligns with job duties.
- International coursework must be verified by a NACES-approved credential evaluation service.
- Experience:
- Six months of experience in a medical laboratory setting is required.
- Generalist experience is mandatory.
- Certifications (Preferred):
- Certification at the technologist level from a nationally recognized agency such as ASCP, NCA, ASM, AABB, ACS, or HEW.
