We are excited to offer a unique opportunity for a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) at a renowned medical center in Honolulu, Hawaii! This full-time perm/direct hire position provides the chance to deliver exceptional care to normal-to-high-risk infants in a Level 3 NICU setting. Position Highlights
- Salary: $149,100 - $164,000 annually + Annual Bonus + Straight Pay for Extra Hours Worked + Weekend Shift Differential. (Current NPs earn an additional $30,000 - $40,000 annually)
- Sign-On Bonus: $10,000
- Relocation Assistance: Available (portion of costs covered, travel coordinator provided)
- Schedule: Full-time; 40 hours per week with 1-24 hour shift and two 8-hour shifts. The position involves being on-call overnight in the unit's on-call room.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and technical procedures to normal-to-high-risk infants in the NICU.
- Resuscitate newborns in delivery and neonatal units, including procedures such as intubation, intravenous access, and emergency medications.
- Perform specialized procedures such as umbilical artery catheterization, lumbar punctures, and sepsis work-ups.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and prescribe treatments like phototherapy, antimicrobial therapy, and nutrition.
- Collaborate with attending physicians on treatment plans and make rounds on designated patients.
- Document patient history, assessments, procedures, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Support quality improvement (QI) activities and provide educational programs for staff.
- Act as a clinical resource for staff and identify learning needs within the team.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in neonatal care.
- Education: Master’s degree in Nursing.
- Licenses/Certifications:
- Registered Nurse License (Hawaii) required at hire.
- Advanced Practice Registered Nurse License (Hawaii).
- Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Certificate.
- Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association.
- National Provider Identifier (NPI).
- Taxonomy Code required at hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience: At least 1 year of Nurse Practitioner experience in an acute care setting.
- Licenses: Valid Hawaii APRN Recognition with prescriptive authority.
- Skills: Strong patient assessment skills, leadership, teaching, and customer service.
Non-Negotiable Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner.
- Must be a licensed NNP and able to work overnight shifts in the unit.
