Nuclear Medicine Technician Compensation
- The pay for this position is $72-$75 per hour based on experience.
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment.
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Nuclear Medicine Technician Highlights
- The required availability for this position is Monday through Friday.
- Shift: 7:30 am – 4pm
- No holidays or on call requirements
Nuclear Medicine Technician Responsibilities
- Prepare and administer radioactive drugs for imaging or therapy.
- Operate imaging equipment, such as gamma cameras and PET scanners.
- Position patients for imaging and monitor them during procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of procedures and dosages.
- Explain procedures and safety precautions to patients.
- Follow radiation safety protocols to protect patients and staff.
- Collaborate with physicians to interpret imaging results.
- Calibrate and maintain radiopharmaceutical and imaging equipment.
Nuclear Medicine Technician Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
- Successful completion of certified nuclear medicine program
- CNMT and/or ARRT, CPR, ISBOH license.
- BLS (AHA only) required.
- 3 years previous experience required.
