Nurse Practitioner – Primary Care Clinic
Location: Frederick, MD 21703
Schedule: 65 hours over 2 weeks.
- Clinic hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 7:30 PM; Saturday & Sunday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Pay Rate: $75-78/hour
We are seeking an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to provide primary care services in a fast-paced, retail-based clinic. This role requires hands-on clinical experience treating patients of all ages (18months and older), with the NP often serving as the sole clinical provider onsite.
The ideal candidate will have experience as the primary point of contact for routine, preventive, and non-emergency care and must be comfortable working independently. Specialized-only backgrounds, such as dialysis centers, med spas, or other niche settings, are not eligible.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat common illnesses, injuries, and skin conditions
- Administer vaccinations, screenings, and physicals
- Prescribe medications when medically appropriate
- Perform physical assessments and examinations
- Conduct and interpret diagnostic and laboratory studies
- Counsel and coach patients on health, lifestyle modifications, and nutrition
- Screen patients and refer to other healthcare providers as needed
- Provide patient education and recommendations
Requirements
- Primary care clinical experience with hands-on patient care for all ages
- Ability to work independently
- BLS Certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- DEA registration may be required for some states
- Family Nurse Practitioner Required
- APRN/NP license in the state of practice
Schedule
This position follows a rotating 2-week schedule:
- Week 1: Approximately 37 hours
- Week 2: Approximately 28 hours
- Every other weekend rotation is required
- Clinic hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 7:30 PM; Saturday & Sunday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
